General Info - Charleston South Carolina Kiteboarding, Surfing, SUP & SkateBoarding
Much of our riding is down at home in Charleston, SC USA (chuck town) and the surrounding barrier islands in South Carolina. 

We also plan, host and take kiteboarding & surfing trips all over. In our travels, we've come across some magical windy lands. Immerse yourself in kiter culture and take an Air Retreat!

The skateboarding spots have been researched by our sister shop Team .Each area contains local information on winds, safety, riding conditions, and local rules. Air Retreats - Kite, Surf, & SUP Trips & Vactations

Designed, organized and hosted for kiteboarders by kiteboarders( from air and the NC Outerbanks), airretreats are kiteboarding vacations where wind dominates.

Like any retreat, our goal is to immerse you in the kiteboarding lifestyle with luxury launching and living. With the winds, we ride. . .laughing, living & learning. When it's calm, we explore anything and everything. There's no agenda!

From Skate the Shop to kite nites, movie premiers, and freestyle snowboards (yes, snowboarding in charleston!), Air hosts and participates in many action sports events.

Ratings & Reviews

Each kite, paddle, surf & skate area has been rated using a 5-star system with multiple variables. Since we include none sport related traits like ease of access, amenities available (i.e. restrooms) and proximity of a shop, some rather epic 5-star spots may receive a lower score. We pondered this for a while, but felt the overall experience is critical.  

Thus, any spot with an above average score (greater than 3) is going to be really good. Anything scoring close to 4 or better will be epic. If you have kited at any of these destinations, please be sure to add your own review!
