We're collecting toys for all the girls and boys! All donations will be given to kids in need. This includes individual local families along with organizations like Louie's Kids, Winwood Farms, and local Churches. If you have kids that need toys, contact us!

Need Toys?

If you or someone you know needs toys for the holidays, we're here to help you in three ways:

1. Request a Toy Donation If you know anyone who needs help getting toys & gifts this year , simply call us @ 843-388-9300, or fill out our contact form. We'll personally help each Qualified requests pick out Free toys and gifts from the donations.
   
   
2. Free Gift Cards When you donate, you'll receive a free Air & Earth gift card, so you can help get a "big kid toy" for yourself, or someone you know.
   
   
3. 13 days. 13 Toys. In December 2010 , we'll post 13 videos of Buddy the Elf here and on FaceBook. In each video, he'll feature one of the 13 Toys used to help him become and Xtreme Elf. Each item will be discounted heavily, so you have a chance to get a cool toy for yourself, or someone you know.

That's why at Air & Earth (the big kid toy stores), we want to help all kids, both big & little, get a toy with the 13 Days of Xmas Toy Drive.

Cash Donations

For those who prefer, we accept cash donations. All monies raised will go to purchasing New sports gear for needy kids, both big and little. You donations guarantees a gift this year that''ll help a kid smile, while keeping them active and healthy.

Recycle Used Or Donate New
We're really excited to help you find a good home your Used Toys. And, since we're focusing on used sports gear, we're really stoked on helping others receive your donations, keeping them active and healthy.

Let's face it. Recent times have been tough for lots of us. You donation makes is possible for those struggling to get a toy this year. That's why we also accept new toys and cash donations (see rules below). With each donation, we’ll give you a free Air & Earth gift card. Use it to  get a toy for yourself, or someone you know.

Recycle Used Toys Since we love recycling, we are collecting used toys that are clean and good condition. Things like used sports equipment make great gifts. We are especially interested in board sports gear (skate, surf, kite, skim & snow) and accessories (i.e. helmets, wetsuits, etc). You know, like that dusty skateboard in the closet. Or that surboard just sitting in the garage. Or maybe you have a bike that's not being used anymore.

Used Toy donation guidelines:

• We accept to following used (or new) sports gear:
  • Ground Sports: Skateboards, Wave boards, Inline Skates & Longboards
  • Water Sports: Surfboards, Stand-up Paddleboards, Wakeboarding & Kiteboarding
  • Snow Sports: Snowboards & Snow Skis
  • Team Sports: Baseball, Basketball, Football, Soccer Ball and Volley Ball
  • Cold Weather Running Gear: hats, gloves, caps, non-cotton running pants, non-cotton running shirts
  • Helmets, Pads, Wetsuits and any accessory complementing the above items
    
    
• Fully clean your donation. We can only accept clean items.
  
  
• Make sure it is good working condition. We want kids to have fun and be safe. Please be sure your donation is undamaged with good life left in it.
  
  
• Include all pieces, parts and documentation.

Buddy says:

Please bring them!"

Donate New Toys Have an extra toy? Maybe you got two? Or, you got a gift and are not using it? Whether you purchase or donate, we are accepting New Toy donations. Most new toys will go to organizations like Windwood Farms & Louie's Kids.

New Toy Donation guidelines:

• We accept the following new toy donations:
  • Board Games
  • Playing Cards
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Journals
    
    
• All new toys must be in orignial packaging.
  
  
• Please be sure all parts, pieces, instructions and accessories are included
  
  
• All parts are fully working.
  
  
• We accept most used toy donations: games, game systems, action figures, dolls, play sets, art & craft kits, educational toys, etc.

Drop-off your donations
Bring your donations to Air & Earth, the big kid toy stores by the Mount Pleasant Target. Their two-story surf, skate and kite sports center is located at 1313 Long Grove Drive, Mount Pleasant, SC 29464.

Who can donate? Everyone!

Air & Earth are accepting donations from both individuals, and businesses. Donations will go to local Charleston families various charitable groups such as Toys for Tots, Charleston Boys & Girls Club, local Churches and any other groups needing toys. Charleston’s Action Sports Center Kicks Off Their Annual Holiday New and Use Sports Gear Drive for Kids in Need
Air & Earth’s 13 Days of Xmas “Active Green” Toy Drive Runs December 1-20, 2010

CHARLESTON, SC— Have an old skateboard getting dusty in the closet? Or, maybe there’s a surfboard just sitting in the garage? Are you really using that longboard? Then it’s time to recycle the old sports gear you have. And, help kids, both little and big, have a toy this holiday. In an “active green” way! Air & Earth announce they’ll be hosting their unique “active green” Toy Drive again for the 2010 Holiday.  By collecting used and new sports gear & toys to help kids stay active, Air & Earth’s 13 Days of Xmas runs from December 1 – 20, 2010.

Some call it a modern day surf shop, others an action sports center. Any way you put it, Air & Earth are simply “big kid” toy stores in Charleston. Founders Adam Von Ins and Elea Faucheron are so thankful for the support Charleston has given them, they created the 13 Days of Xmas last year. With a dual focus on exercising and recycling, it became a huge success. In 2009, this unique toy drive collected more than 1,000 used toys and recycled them to locals in need. Including 27 families overlooked by other charities.

“We’re just amazed at how much support we continue to receive from all the board sport lovers, and their families,” says Elea Faucheron when asked about this unique benefit drive. She explains the traditional 12 days of Christmas are all about “what my true love gave to me. We’re so thankful; we created the 13th day of Xmas so we could give back.”

“My grandma used to tell me the only difference between Men and Boys is the size of their Toys. She is so right. We’re just a big kid’s toy store. And we want to give every kid in Charleston, regardless of age, income or status, the chance to get a toy, stay active & keep healthy,” Adam Von Ins says.

Air & Earth’s 13 Days of Xmas are focused on making toys available to those in need missed by traditional charitable drives. Faucheron and Von Ins urge those who know of someone in need of help this holiday season to contact them. In addition, they are helping local organizations including Windwood Farms, East Cooper Community Outreach, Louie’s Kids collect specific items such as weights, bands, jump ropes, exercise balls, basketballs, baseballs, football, bike helmets and more.

Air & Earth are giving back in two ways:

1. Active Green Toy Drive: Air & Earth support recycling, reusing and reducing by accepting used items. “We’re focusing on recycling stuff that helps kids get active,” Von Ins says. 
   
   “While the used items might not be unwrapped under the tree, it’s still a great opportunity for locals to clean house and help someone!  For example, last year we collected used skateboards and gave them to kids who desperately wanted to skate, but had no chance at getting one.  Even though it was used, they were so happy!  And, it allowed donating families give without spending cash; one man’s junk is often another man’s treasure,” says Faucheron.  
   
   “Since our prime focus is helping kids be active, we are specifically searching for used sporting good items in good condition we can recycle,” Von Ins says. “We know there are plenty of locals with old stuff just gathering dust. If you have a skateboard, surfboard, skim board, body board, snowboards or kiteboard just sitting around, please donate!” says Faucheron. “We’re also collecting things associated with these sports: like used helmets, pads and wetsuits.”
   
   Good Used / New Sporting Goods Items accepted include:

   For those rainy days, you can also donate the following items. They must be new and in original packaging:

Air & Earth are accepting donations from both individuals, and businesses. Von Ins says: “If you know kids needing toys, please contact us!”

 

2. To help you get a new toy or a gift, Air & Earth will give a Free $5 gift card to each donator. They’ll also offer 13 bigger kid toys at drastically reduced pricing to help everyone! One item will be featured daily starting December 1. You can learn about each item online at CatchSomeAir.us.
